wow. this took one whole day. but since it has so much going on, there is so much room for mistakes. Reading is my life, therefore words are running all over the page- extracts from actual books I have scattered around my real room. Those are my best and closest friends in the picture frame on the wall (although my smaller rendition of that this looks FAR more crappy than what I could have imagined). Perspective for the wings was rather more challenging than I had thought-with it being a confined space, they're doing some funky bending.
Download is the only way to read the writing- even then I'm still rather sloppy- but beware that downloading will also show how bad this picture actually is XD
This is amazing. Someone was in a very inspired mood today. I think you did an awesome job and it shows that you really cared for what you were doing. I love it. It's beautiful and totally you.

Fabulous idea! Very creative :3 I can tell you really put effort into this one I love the lil candle and how her face and hair came out ! And you did a background (something I have yet to really attempt) so you get extra cookies for that ^_~ Which books did you use?
I used Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Lord of the Rings by Tolkin (something from all three books), Frankenstein by Merry Shelly, a snipet from Dante's Infrno (though I don't have the translation by Ciardi like I would like), and The Shack by William P. Young. Everyone of them super good and I'd recomend any! thanks for the complament. I was pleased with it in a way, but theres still quite a few areas I was meh on. like the wings, and my friends faces. but in drawing each face in the frame was smaller than my thumb nail so... amazing I got the detail I did

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
